The fishing report in Depoe Bay today is fantastic!  Limits of big Ling Cod and rockfish continue to be the theme!  The forecast called for high winds, but as of early afternoon, it appears that the forecasters were wrong!  It’s beautiful out!  The opening day of Halibut was May 10th, and it was great!  Despite the high winds, limits of halibut were confirmed on the deep water  boats!  We are schedule to Halibut fish on May 12th, as our trip for today was pushed up due to the forecasted high winds.  As of right now, it looks like we may have super nice weather all weekend, with an ocean that may be “off the hook”, which translates to a REALLY REALLY nice ocean to be out on a boat!  So far, as predicted the Halibut season is going strong.  I think we may have one of those years to remember for a long long time.  You better get out and be a part of it.  When booking your trip remember to request our boat, The Amigo, out of Tradewinds Charters in Depoe Bay.  We boast “top of the line” gear which includes all Shimano rods and reels.  We also have an experienced crew that not only is is USCG licensed and certified, but are  fanatical fisherman to the bone!  See you on the water.
